ripped off antenna

was trying to fix my audio jack for my sprint note 2. In doing so i accidentally ripped off the piece that connects the antenna to the motherboard. Is the fix as simple as just soldering it back to the motherboard or do i need to replace the motherboard?

Assuming you didn't rip off the land that the contact connects to, it's as simple as soldering a foil-thin piece of antenna contact to an even thinner PC board land without melting the whole motherboard. A 10 Watt iron is more than enough. If you're REALLY experienced at soldering very small circuits you might be able to get away with a 37 Watt, heat controlled iron with a 1/16" tip.

If you're not sure, pay to have it done. Having a new motherboard installed will cost almost as much as a gently-used Note 2.
