So only SOME of us have the Rockplayer "R" in the upper left while viewing videos?

    Yes.

I have a few hi def (720p) vids that are very choppy on it. Hopefully that will be fixed. It plays regular videos great though and is much better than the stock player!

Do you know if there is a version for smaller screensizes [ SE Xperia mini PRO - 320x240 ] , coz` I can`t tap the menu button and also didn`t see FPS in corner as well. Thannk you very much.

It's difficult for me to judge the quality difference between Rock Player and Coreplayer for WinMo because the screen size between the Evo and TP2 means that video artifacts that I did not notice on a 3.6" screen are more easily seen on a 4.3" screen. But I think that Coreplayer did better scaling. Since many avi files are 612 X 320, these need to scale to fit the screen.

The interface, however, is fantastic. Unlike Coreplyer, it remembers where you were in every file, not just the current one being played. And while Coreplayer would hitch a bit on my TP2, Rockplayer is silky smooth. I've played avi and flv files without any problem, but I tried an mkv file and it choked -- lots of pausing, skipped frames, and unusable audio. I will have to try other mkv files. I did not test whether it plays AC3 audio tracks. Coreplayer could not play mkv files nor AC3 tracks at all.

There is a small logo in the upper left hand corner that won't go away. I actually didn't notice it for a while and it's not bothering me too much, so I'll live with it. I assume they'll remove it with the paid version.

Also, there is some crackling audio every time you start a file. It lasts for a second or two.

All in all, Rock Player is indispensable if you don't want to convert every single video file to play on the Evo. And I really love that it keeps the place of every video file.

Went to the market page and dl'ed with no problems
I was happy until I saw the popup saying to BUY or Activate with ads for free use

    I wouldn't mind paying for it, but $10 ???

Just hit back button, on the pop up not the phone, and you can use it for free. Ads are not that bad, do not show when you are in full screen mode.

I just installed Rockplayer on a Nexus1. Videos play fine, however, I cannot seem to locate or see the FPS counter (on the top right hand corner). I see the R logo on the left hand corner and Time and Battery info on the right hand corner - but no FPS.

Also, how accurate is the FPS information? Any ideas? Are there other tools and players that show the FPS information with some level of accuracy?

    Thanks in advance.

Look online for an app called sex tube pro. You can download clips and steam to the tv.
