Somehow I managed to lose Firefox on my phone. I was able to download it and install it without damaging my brain too much. It put the icon on my home page but I wanted it to be in place of the Samsung internet icon. So I long pressed it to see what would happen. It disappeared and now I don't know how to put it back.

Find it in the app drawer. Long press and drag it to the top of the screen and onto your homepage.

Thanks @Bg260 ! That worked. Now is there a way to replace the Samsung internet at the bottom of my home screen with the Firefox icon?

Certainly. Just hold the Samsung Internet icon and drag it to "Remove" at the top of the homepage. Then hold Firefox and drop it into your dock.
