Rogers "Redboard" Social Media Dept Blog

    In my house.
    Rogers has launched a new "Blog" as part of their Social Media outreach program. Not sure yet about everything it's supposed to do, but they promise it will be another means of getting info, and finding help online. Why they didn't create a forum, i don't know.

    It's very odd. They are going to wind up posting all sorts of items that I will have no interest in. QuickStart menu for cable? Uh, no thanks. The net has been moving towards delivery of narrowcasting for years; that's the great thing about forums - you can identify and follow the threads you want and ignore the rest. But with the blog format you have to read (well, scroll) through irrelevant (to me) content. That's so 2003! The desire may be to have a "a customer-focused Rogers blog" but it is not WELL focused.

    Good so I am not alone in my confusion about this new site that rogers made. I mean it would have been a good idea and not horrifically out of date if it was still 1999! :D
