Just to confirm what everyone else is saying, it takes quite a bit for the phone to wake up.

Also the work around for the in call flicker doesn't work for me.

Brad: The PRL number is hard-coded. If you wish to change the PRL for real, use QPST.

Zh, use "adb shell" from your PC and then run vi, or use adb pull and adb push. Note that you will need to shell in and remount the /system area writeable in order to change the file.

Does anyone know of a decent way to reprogram a button to force a reboot?

The only reason I'm asking is because I have a habit of leaving Wifi on. I'm not sure if that's the cause or maybe some setting I've derped around with wrong. Whenever the phone went to sleep, I was unable to get the screen to fire back up. The backlight comes back on, and I think that it's responsive to touch(not locked up), just no picture.

If I can repurpose a key to reboot, it would fix things.

(My case is hard to pop off and on, so I'd rather just waste a key on it)

BTW, everything else is great. Ticker, you and Isaac rock!

EDIT: Just for clarification, it does appear to be some sort of interaction issue with Wifi, have had it happen twice now. I did, however, figure out that spamming power will cause a reboot for whatever reason.

First time poster...Thank you everyone for your hard work! I have been following this thread for a while and finally decided to load up the build...so far no major issues except the ones mentioned. I do have a minor issue with stock email. It crashes when trying to reply to the emails...anyone have that problem and solution? TIA

BTW, besides doing this project here, ticker guy (Karl) is an awesome stock trader and finance person at tickerforum (I hope ticker guy do not mind the prop) :)

Interested in migrating to this from stock, but can someone test one app for me on it? Grab the latest ustream client with this installed and try to view a stream?

Something weird on my Nexus One - on stable/release versions of CM (or stock), this app is rock solid. On nightly/experimental versions - crash the moment you tried to view any stream.

So if this works, since I do a bit of ustream work...

    Thanks in advance!

You formatted the /fat partition on accident. Look in this thread for atrickpay's post with the filles that go in the /fat drive (mobile):

    http://androidforums.com/triumph-al...icked-my-phone-formatting-fat-cwm-heeelp.html

and once your fixed install a newer clockwork so that won't happen again... I recommend the one from issac's cm7 thread. (4.0.0.15)

Ticker, I would really suggest putting a link to a good cwm in the first post. :)

You mean, for instance, the link to the one I use that's in the posts that I am maintaining?

Would people please read the top posts in the thread before asking for something that is already there?

Well i switched to the punkrom for now, on cm7 my 3g would stop working alot and i had to go to airplane mode and back to fix it, also my wifi, if i would lock my phone when wifi is connected after i would unlock it it would not work, it said i was connected to my router but my internet wouldn't work, had to turn off/on wifi to fix it. For now I'll wait til this is fully working to give it another try

You mean the link in the second post that almost seems like an afterthought and is well after the steps for actually flashing the ROM?

The information is all there. You can't expect anyone to hold your hand through this. Really how much longer did it take to you read through the first couple of posts?? It's the people that don't read and process the information provided, that end up messing up their installs and then complaining on the forums.

    Reading......a dying skill :(

Yeah, basically, it seems that if I let my phone sleep for a long time (I haven't exactly pinpointed how long "a long time" is yet but seems to be at least > 30 min so far), when I wake the phone, the 3g/call signals never come out of sleep--the bars stay white--until I put it in airplane mode and then back out - the bars and 3g then finally go green after that.

Oh my god, all I did was point out that the link to an appropriate CWM is listed WAY after the steps to flash the ROM. I know of four people now including myself that bricked their phones (thankfully not permanently) partly because we were using an older CWM recovery that can cause the /FAT partition to get formatted if you aren't careful. I never blamed Tickerguy and in fact praised the ROM and the work he is doing earlier on - and I still am very thankful and excited for the work that is being put into it. I made a simple observation, got a sarcastic reply, and replied in turn.

Oh the joy of forums. For every great person there are a hundred ready to troll and flame away ... *le sigh*

TG, I am sincerely sorry if my suggestion offended you. It wasn't intended to do so.

Just flashed the 9/20 update and everything looks good. I'm experienced the slight hesitation on wake, but I'll tell you what, it's a hell of a lot better than popping the battery! =]

Speaking of the battery, I'm experiencing astoundingly better battery life, especially when you consider I've probably been using my phone more now that it's all new and what not. We'll see if that keeps up with wifi/gps working. I used to be down below 30% battery life at the end of the day but now I have 50-70%, so my margins are much more comfortable than before, and I have a solid chance of my alarm going off in the morning if I forget to plug it in.

When selecting an image taken with the camera under the gallery app, to share over messaging, I get a series of SQLiteExceptions, and the MMS hangs on "sending..." until I delete the message.

There are many of these exceptions that flash by on logcat.
