Well my Market was broken, battery was running out fast and phone wasnt snappy anymore. Made the plung for the new ROM! Glad I did, everything is working great, smooth, fast.

One thing to note, i restored a couple thousand txt messeges..when you fist open the messanger you gotta let that baby load! I had to reboot once for it too.

Troubles with 12.7 - Boot looping my Droid.
Downloaded the package again, reinstalled, still no go.

Attempts to boot, Brings up the big "M", then paints the "D R O I D" on the screen,
then goes to the scrolling "eye of Sauron" and stays there for about 30 seconds or so and pausing every so slightly when the eye is scrolling... then the screen goes black, and the big "M" returns, and will start everything all over again... I let it loop 5 times thinking that it may be unpacking files and having to reboot to continue on to the next one... but I don't think that is what is going on.

I Stopped the install, and rolled back to 12.6 which went on with no problems and all of my applications were still there and usable when 12.6 booted up completely.

What can I do to help you figure out what the problem is? Is there a boot log file somewhere that I can send to you that will tell you what the problem is?

Or, have I reached the point to where my Droid is no longer updatable?

    Will not boot yet.
    Trying to recover it...

    Either a corrupt download
if you're coming from another ROM (cyan, liquid, etc) you need to wipe data/cache/davlik cache before installing

I have installed the ROM on multiple phones so i know the problem is unique to your phone - PM me for help

    Dew912 -
Nope not coming from any other ROM (nothing else compares... ;)).

I was running Charity 12.6. I wiped the Dalvik Cache, but not the Data or the main cache.

I downloaded the package twice, thinking that I had a bad copy of the file, so I pulled the sdcard out and put it into my laptop and re-downloaded it directly to the root directory on my SD CARD.

    The file size is: Charity127-update.zip - 67.79mb ---rwxr-x

I tried the installation again, but still it exhibited the very same behavior of booting up to the "eye", blanking the screen... and then starting over again, and again and again...

Could it be possibly caused by something such as SetCPU?

I have about 45mb free space in my ROM, could it possibly be a space issue where the full image cannot install due to lack of ROM space?

I have 40.8mb free space for the system-rom
I have 63.4mb free space for internal memory
I have 12.7gb free space on my sdcard.

    Any ideas?

Wipe everything and install, something got messed up along the way
    Then install.

Has anyone else had any problems

Gawd damn, Dew - New rom is fast. I mean really fast. I mean you make GB roms work better on my droid than froyo, when all I hear is people bitch about the exact opposite.

    - Roto dock is sweet
    - New market is sweet
    - it is at least twice as fast as 12.5
    - keyboard still lights up :p
    - i'll review the rest as I get around to it. Color me impressed. Wow.

Works great for me too! I haven't checked the gps yet, always had to reboot phone to get it to come on again, but everything else has been sweet. thanks

In regards to the camera app, I don't see the ability to change photo resolutions? I'm not sure what it had before, but I'm guessing you added the macro and sharpness features?

Other than that, this rom is great. Battery life is much, much better and it runs a lot smoother.

Very nice work, Dew. This is the best update yet.

I seriously challenge anyone reading this who went back to froyo after trying numerous GB roms on their OG Droid to try this one and tell me it isn't better.

I have yet to find a single bug or function on this new 12.7 build that is a function or feature that worked any better on froyo.

First time ever since I have been flashing multiple ROMs on an OG - no LEDs. Clean install with multiple wipes - any suggestions?

Long press on volume rocker to change tracks doesn't work for me. Any ideas?
Otherwise this is proving to be a very nice and smooth

My gps wont come back on once I have turned it off. After I reboot the phone it works again, but only as long as I don't turn it off, which I usually don't have it on as I don't need it very often, except when I'm golfing and need to use skydroid to check yardages or if I'm in a different city for directions.
Anyone else have this happen with their gps?

I personally have not run into this problem yet. So far my GPS has worked much better than previously.

The only real complaint I've been able to find so far, is that my browser still doesn't feel as snappy as when it was on v11. I've only tested it on a data connection though, not wifi.

I'm having the same behavior with the GPS. Works after a reboot, but once turned off it will no longer connect after it's turned back on. Anyone else having this problem?

Eldiente, how did you install the update and from what version did you update from?

By the by, the volume rocker is working fine for changing the tracks on my install.

After I setup a Pattern Screen Lock my phone will go into a bootloop the next time that I reboot. Anybody else have this issue? Other than that, this appears to be a great ROM! Thanks for the hard work!

Thanks for pointing this out - this is definitely a major bug and I will work to fix it!
It has to do with when I added in the rotary lock screen - I'm hot on the case

KuroDroid -I installed over 12.6, which I installed over 12.1 without doing a clean install by wiping all of the data. I'm going to try and do a clean install and see if that fixes the GPS.

Hi. I've been using 12.7 since it was released. I haven't had any problems until today. My market won't let me update apps. It says the device does not have enough space, but I have 100 mb of unused storage on my phone. Is this a rom issue? Please help. Thanks.
