Ok so this rom is the fastest and smoothest gb rom I've tried so far. The battery icon is awesome. Even with all the animations on it still runs blazingly fast. I've been running it for almost 24 hours no force closes no random reboots, just seemless and beautiful. This is by FAR the best Gb rom currently out, IMO of course. Instal went fast and without issue, right away I could tell this was different from other Gb ROMS. Its insane. I couldn't have thought up a better rom. I highly suggest everyone give this a run.

Are you using the stock kernel? Overclocking?

Did you happen to try Pete's GB ROM before this? I'm running that right now and it's been almost perfect sans a random reboot and one instance where it became pretty unresponsive.

I LOVED SS 4.9, but wanted to try BB again after running it for a few months. Went to BB 0.6.2 - was great and smooth. Then went back to SS 4.9.6 and it was really buggy and slow at times for some reason. I wipe before every ROM just to ensure max stability. I wiped twice for SS 4.96 just because I couldn't believe the ROM was bad, but it seemed so. So I'm kind of apprehensive to try this now.

Basically I just want a raw comparison between this and what I'm running now (Pete's GB ROM).

Not a raw comparison. But.
I tried Pete's first, ran it for a day or so. Basically Pete's is a stock barebones Gingerbread ROM. No tweaks or scripts. I'm sure GPA10 will get some themes shortly. And Pete will be releasing a fully tweaked Bugless Beast when he gets it done.

Chevy's SS GB has tweaks built-in, and ChevyNo1 Tools lets you tweak and customize quite a bit of look and feel of your phone.

So right now Chevy's has what I want in a GB ROM. Oops, I just saw that UD 3.0.0 was just released, gonna have to check it out as well.

Happy flashing.:)

Yeah, I know Petes build is supposed to be as stock as possible with no extra tools/scripts and other good stuff. I don't mind this way to much if it means I'll have max stability. But it seems I'm still getting some performance issues as I got yesterday. If it happens again, then I'll prolly try this one out.

Thanks!

Just flashed this last night and I am loving it. The only problem is one that has turned me off of gingerbread in the past...

How do I keep my music from turning into a clump of unknown artists and albums (for some reason the phone will keep song names?)

All of my music still has the artists names. Maybe it has to do with how you got your music to your phone. If I download music via my phone its through an app called music junk, that app always has the music labeled correctly.

Just flashed this and coming from Pete's GB ROM, I'm not too impressed so far. I'm already having a few issues (this is after wiping too);

1. When connected to WiFi, the 3G icon doesn't go away.
2. The brightness setting aren't sticking. Just about every time the screen dims before it times out and I touch the screen to do something, it goes to max brightness and stays there (even after putting it in standby and bringing it out again) until I manually adjust the brightness again.
3. I don't like the custom pop-up animations where they stretch out and I don't see the option to disable it or use standard window animations.

I might just restore Pete's GB backup if I can't find a quick fix for these off here or on his foruk linked in OP. They aren't major issues, but it's more than I had on Pete's.

For me, SS 5.0 is working much better than Pete's GB ROM. Pete's ROM had a lot of lag on my phone and I'd have to swipe 3x to get unlock the phone.

I'm happy with this new ROM, it's fast and battery life is good.

Working really good for me! I had a couple random reboots, but I'm not going to complain about that since it may take a day for it to settle in. It hasn't done it at all today.

I drag and drop from itunes. Most my music is bought through itunes but some is downloaded through other sources or burned.

I have no clue how to fix it

I rechecked through all my music and some of it is not lanes as it once was, however its the songs I've edited to use as ringtones. Legally purchased music shouldn't have any labeling issues. I find it strange that yours is messed up and mine is fine. I'm assuming, you already had it on your SD card before flashing the new rom, as did I. I don't use iTunes, but it shouldn't matter where the music comes from, just incase I'm wrong see if you can sync up a few songs through a different client.

I was downloading this from rom manager, and I was prompted to pick some different file systems if I wanted to. My question is, which do I pick and what is the difference??? I seen NFS/NTFS which of those do I want?
