Cyanogenmod 10.1 Nightlies! There out! Flash them here!

I am not responsible if you screw up your Nexus 7. Always backup your apps and other personal stuff along with performing a full backup in recovery before flashing!

    Important Information
    • This guide assumes you are already rooted and have a custom recovery for your device
    • If clean flashing do not hit "Format Data" when wiping otherwise you will loose internal storage(SD card).
    • PSA from Cyanogenmod on Google +
    • Follow Cyanogenmod on Google +
    • CM does not have and does not support Tablet UI sorry :(

    Instructions

    1. Download Rom and Gapps to your tablets "SD Card" and boot into recovery
    2. Clear davlik cache
    3. Wipe data/cache
    4. Install your Cyanogenmod 10.1 Rom from the links below
    5. Install Gapps 12/12/12 (linked below)
    6. Boot into Rom
    7. Sign in and wait for all market apps to Restore
    8. After market apps have restored Reboot again
    9. For new Nightlies use the build in CM updater.
    10. Enjoy

I read this on Facebook, I was sort of meh until I saw they were doing them for the 3G version as well! :)

Looks like I'm going to bite the bullet and root/install CM10.1 tomorrow! I've been slightly disappointed by the lack of dev support for the 3G model so far, but not any more by the looks of things.

The only thing I don't like is there's no option (that I could find anyways) to have a persistent menu button on the bottom nav bar like in cm10

I have been flashing them since they were released and I'm really impressed with how solid and smooth they are. It is lacking features but I'm sure that will change once the team gets further along.

I'm really looking forward to a "stable" release. Hopefully they will be including some good tweaks and options when they release one.
Currently running Rasbeanjelly, and while it runs very well, I want CM and their toys!
Any other bugs besides Native OTG not working?

The new nightly (12-27-12) brings the ability to close out of ALL of your background and recent apps :)

I'll take another look at the changelog. I thought it was in todays. They seem to run together sometimes so maybe it was in the 23rds

Yeah, I discovered that trick right before flashing today's build. Pretty sure I'm not confusing things :)

Its even Easter than that. Just use wugs nexus 7 toolkit and it'll lock your boot loader back up after it flashes a stock image and stock recovery.

I would recommend it :) all you have to do is (as long as your rooted already and unlocked with custom recovery) flash it in cwm or twrp.

Make sure you have a good download by checking the md5 checksum. You have custom recovery too I assume? Cwm or twrp?

And you did do a full wipe/factory reset before flashing, right?

Well, it's .. the same but with lucky patcher ( which is not working either, I just can't find ''luck'' to succeed)
and well everything else it's the same :|
not sure if it was worth rooting it
any cool root apps I can use?
I like free stuff and be safe :p

you can use titanium backup to backup your apps or romtoolbox to customize your device and many more. and if you dont like it you can always download wugs nexus 7 tool kit and return to stock :)
