This rom is one of the few that always bring all my apps back after I install it. A great thing.

How is this running for you guys?

I loved liquid on my original droid. But this DX is confusing me on gingerbread roms. If I am currently running Apex RC 2.0, do I just flash this through the D2 bootstraper, or do I need to sbf back to froyo? My searching is not proving fruitful. Thanks,

Any GB based ROMs (ApeX, AOSP Liberty/Liberty GB, Shuji) are flashed while on .596 GB.
Any CM7/2nd init based ROMs (CM7 nightlies, this one, MIUI, OMGB or OMFGB) are flashed while on FroYo.

Going from GB to CM7/2nd init ROM? Flash back to FroYo, root, and then flash the ROM.
Going from CM7/2nd init to GB ROM? Flash black to FroYo, root, flash the 2-part rooted .596, flash the ROM.

Yes this 2.6 version is a vast improvement.Battery life is killer on this ROM now.10 hours at 50% and that was at work where i only get 1 bar and very bad 3g coverage and had GPS on all the time. This rom with the addidtion of v8 Supercharger and Supercharger kernal tweaks and this thing is blazing fast with no lag what so ever at all.I used the multitasking option which i think is #7.All i can say is WOW.

Is it really a big problem? Ever since my last SBF, I've had sporadic LEDs on .596 (Handcent won't work, Go SMS won't work, but BattMonX works perfectly fine ), and I wondered if flashing a 2nd init rom might fix it.

Well, the built-in LED flasher works fine for the basic purpose of flashing the LED when you have a notification.

My problem is that LightFlow lets me managed notifications for my whole system, with interspersed LED colors for multiple notifications and vibration types/lengths/repetition, set up blinks for apps that don't normally do it... it's all very thorough and nice.

But since CM7 and CM7-based ROMs have this LED notification thing built in, it kills my ability to use the app.

The LED notification system built into CM7 is okay. It works, for sure. But if you start using the advanced features, like flashing multiple colors for multiple notifications (e.g. if I have an email and SMS, it can flash two alternating colors), the DX doesn't seem to love it. Again, they work, but the blink rate is all weird and there are warnings about battery life - and I don't experience the battery life drop with LightFlow that CM7 warns you about.

It also doesn't have settings for everything I want, and no vibration control - so, I'm trading great functionality (LightFlow) for mediocre functionality, with no way to turn it off.

Nothing to do with 2nd-init ROMs, by the way. OMGB and OMFGB both work great with LightFlow - I'm using OMFGB now.

I actually came from Apex 2.0, which was AWESOME. From there I went to CM4DX, to Justice, and my battery life was HORRIBLE on both... I popped liquid on yesterday around noon, and after HEAVY use my battery was still at 50% by 11:00pm. I pulled her off the charger this morning at 7:30, moderate use, and I'm still at 84%. This was my only problem with the AOSP ROMS. Battery life. I seem to have found one I can deal with! Two enthusiastic thumbs up!

I wiped data, cache and davlik cache again and started from scratch. All apps updated after I left the phone alone. I guess tinkering when it's booting up isn't the smartest idea!!!! Thanks for the tip

Here we go again. Just went back to apex last night (best battery life for me). I guess I should not complain with so many rom choices. I could be on an idevice with no roms.

Well, here we go again with me too - GRRRR - I'm losing cell and 1G/3G service just like what was happening to me on 2.4. Why does this keep happening on this ROM?????!!!!!

i noticed a speed difference on ssx, it was just more snappy, omgb, is just aosp pure gingerbread, omfgb is quite quick, so i dunno how to go about this, im on miui right now, and its working for me so far
