I'm not 100% sure about this. I think Mikey adds a lot of his speed tweaks to his roms, and within these tweaks he may have zeppelinrock's goods in there. I haven't read through his rom thread yet.

Trust me, if you run any Mean rom, you won't "need" the V6, it flies all by itself. ;)

It's nice to have daily updates again but I really miss the polished state of meanrom. Get me the 4x5 grid, charge only option and a slight oc and I'll be happy again. For now I'm using it just because it's new, but I feel like it's only half done right now. I'm holding off on putting this on my non-tech savvy friends phones until it's a little more refined.

It does seem pretty snappy but I get a lot of jitters in some applications. It's tolerable though.

Yeah I see where you are coming from, but Mikey tends to get his ROM out there for people to use and then update frequently as new modifications come out.

Would you rather not have the option to flash it until he released the "finished product"? ;)

I guess I got a little carried away in that post... lol

I'm a flashahaulic. I wouldn't dare not be a part of the development R&D on this one. mikeyxda is the bomb and I don't have any issue running this in the early stages at all. If I sounded ungrateful in my post I didn't mean to be!

I guess I should have said I'd be happier when I got my three wishes filled but I'm perfectly ok with it the way it is. This is my third go around with mikey on one of his new roms. It's exciting to see an update or two a day come out. :)

I just won't put it on my friends phones until I think its ready for them. Sorry if it sounded like I was bagging on mikey, I wasn't.

I didn't take it that at all, just pointing out as flashaholics we deal with little quirks to be on the cutting edge.:)

and I agree about waiting to put it on other people's phone.

So I suppose the regular meanrom will not be updated to jb? Mean bean Is a whole different thing on its own?

I've been using meanrom for months now. But I really want to try this one. If it's anything like how the quality of meanrom was in sure it's great.

I should add that I love the "OTA" updates.

Meanbean is the JB update to meanrom. Mikey just changed the name but it's the same guy. It's not nearly as far along as meanrom was but that's part of the fun. He's cranking out almost daily updates again.

If you've flashed the newest radios from the jellybean update you should already have the most updated firmware bits as well.

    2.0 released today.

"Significant performance increase" and volume bump.

    Interesting

That dropped today. I keep getting an error when I try to dl and install through OTA updater. I tried posting over at XDA but I don't have posting privileges. Anyone know what's up or have any idea why it keeps giving me an error?

Well, it's been a while since i've posted. Now that JB is out, and Mikey has a ROM for it, i'm intrigued. So let's see, i'm on MeanROM version 1.6 LOL I've peaked in here a bit here and there, but never got around to flashing anything new since, for the most part, my phone's done everything i've needed on MeanROM. So now I'm curious to see how JB is, and would like to flash this ROM and/or even give CM10 or one of it's variants a go as well.

What do i need to flash/do to get up to speed on flashing these latest ROMs? I'm on HBOOT 1.12, S-ON but unlocked via the Dev site if i remember correctly (haven't touched this stuff since last summer), and I'm using TWRP for recovery. Hell, it's been so long since I've done any real tinkering i can hardly remember. I do know that i haven't touched any radios on the LTE yet so all that's stock, is that a must for this ROM?

No I have not tried the normal means, assuming you're meaning to dl, transfer to sd then flash. I like the flashy easy way, lol. I like that fact that I don't have to do all the titanium back up and restore of my apps and I don't have to set up email accounts and all that. I'll just wait for his next OTA update. I was just curious as to whether something was wrong with the update or if it was my device. I did an update last night and woke up with another waiting. Just checking up on things..... Holla!

Its recommended to have the new radios and such. I don't think its required though. with s-on you'll need the recovery flashable radios, if they are available.

    Get S-OFF! :)

Only wipe dalvik cache and cache when you flash the ROM. You won't have to reset up anything

Is that for MB or is that what happens when you do not wipe data when flashing a Rom?

Did anyone else loose haptic feedback on the back/home/menu-recent apps keys? Lost it randomly tonight. Upgraded to the latest version and still nothing. Went into twrp and they were working fine. I don't see any flash able zips yet and no settings I could have messed with. Pretty weird. I have haptic feedback when typing still.

Take me out back and shoot me. Didn't realize the power saver was on. When my battery went low earlier it must have kicked in. Sorry about that lol

Mine doesn't work at all. Not typing or home screen buttons. Guess I should check settings first.

    Edit
I was in power saver too. All is good.
