An ICS themed ROM for Verizon RAZR's has been released.

    (rom) RAZRX - By Droid Th3ory xt912 (verizon) - xda-developers

A LOT of specific things you need to do while flashing this rom as opposed to normal from a quick glance over. A lot of people in the thread on XDA were bricking their phones as a result of not following the OP instructions. I have not tried this yet as I have not rooted yet, but I figured I would post this here for the benefit of the forums!

i have rooted, installed safe strap, and also installed droidtheory's razrx rom. i love it and it went completely smooth. way better without all that extra bloat.

Ditto. Without a factory sbf available, you never know if you need to reset to factory to get newer, faster baseband updates (anyone remember having to sbf back to froyo on the droid x to get the updated or hacked radios?); the last DX radio (I think it was baseband .13p) made download speeds nearly twice as fast so I don't want to miss out if a Razr one comes out.
Among several other reasons. RSD and I became very familiar after our DX...I would've been totally bricked without being able to recover by sbf.

Im kind of a rookie when it comes to ROMs. I rooted the Razr but this ROM seems a little complicated. Thoughts? Attempt it or leave it stock rooted?

I only saw 2 roms in the Rom thread. Theres really only been 2 roms written for the Razr?

I've rooted so that I could remove some of the bloat, so far I haven't seen a ROM that impressed me enough to want to flash it. Which is not to say I think the ROMs are bad, just thatI think stock is good.

Is there a thread that shows which bloat is safe to freeze?

Any screenshots or impressions so far?

    What does it really fix?

It probably does not fix anything, it is just an alternative to the Stock ROM and has some apps/ features added.
