Handcent SMS - Android app on AppBrain
I use SyncMyPix to pull in my facebook contact pictures. This has worked great for me, better than the stock application updating them. I have it set to do it once a day and have not had a problem since I started using this over a month ago.
Is it just me, or do the stats in the Battery Usage seem to be off? I have had my phone off the charger since 6:00 this morning and I am still at 80%, so the battery life seems to be correct to me, but in the stats it is showing Cell Standby as 73%, Phone Idle as 22% and Display as 4%. It is also not showing any other applications like TweetDeck, which updates every 9 minutes or Gmail and so on, these are the only 3 showing. Before this ROM my Display has always been 50% or more of my usage.
It just seems to me that what is really being used is being put in to a different group than what is really being used.
Ae all my apps dl'd from the Market Blurless so they work with RubiX?
I think you are guessing right. No way Display percentage could be that low.
I'm a first time rooter and I successfully flashed rubix focused 1.6 first try but now I dont know how to revert back to 2.2 ota stock. Before I flashed I backed something up in recovery mode but I don't know what I just followed instructions. If I choose restore will it take me back to stock 2.2?
Every reading for batt life I have seem to match up and I'm at 70% after 7 hours
@Tmose04, you should be able to select the file under Backup and Restore > Restore > Yes. If you have multiple backups you'll need to choose one.
And that will take me back to how thedroid came out of the box?
No it will only take you back to the state your phone was in when you made that backup.
...the closest you can get to out of the box with the backups is right after the point of root after you install bootstrap and clockwork (if you choose to make a backup at this point)since these enable you to make the backup.....the only way to go back to out of the box is flash sbf .
So back to my question, will apps I have from the Market work on this blurless ROM? How does one know blurry from blurless? Pardon my ignorance.
as of yet all my apps auto reinstalled through the market and work just fine
Blur system aps might not work on this ROM, all market apps should be just fine
Thanks! I have plans after work but will try this out tomorrow evening!
Do these blur-less ROMs have Swype Keyboard or is that a blur feature? I'm dependent on Swype.
this rom does in fact have swype .....i installed focus multi touch patch though
i hope this is ok as this is from another forum and is not my work ...all credit goes to sephtin.....i am posting this for everyone who would like multi touch with this rom ...it focus based and works great i have installed with no problem
RubiX 1.6 has swype
I also installed HTC keyboard:
[MOD] HTC_IME (8th June) v27: Small fix - xda-developers
I am a little confused with the questions and concerns around swype and multitouch keyboards. I installed this ROM last night and when I checked I have both versions of the keyboard?
you should have swype and the stock android keyboard ,....not multi touch ,the stock looks similiar but is indeed different, perfect way to double check though is to long press in the text field and select input method ....that will give you a list of keyboards you have installed to choose from
Another noob question...so if I don't like ADW I can install and run Launcher Pro on this ROM right?
sure you can
only problem i had with this was that even when i used home switcher and made lpp my default every time i pressed the home button it would go back to adw...so what i did was just go to titanium and uninstall adw
So how is this ROM compared to Apex? Worth switching?
