Hi everyone,

I've recently rooted my Desire and have been playing about with different ROMs to see which I like most, but I've come across a dilemma. I'm trying to figure out if I can run an AOSP ROM but customise the menu appearance with a launcher? I like the look of MIUI menus and status bars/options, but my Chinese interpretation isn't up to scratch (for downloading additions to the ROM) and I prefer the homescreen customisation of AOSP ROMs. I'm currently running Redux 1.2 with Go Launcher, which looks great, but then the settings menus are in the standard grey/black/white as is the status bar.

Has anyone got any suggestions? Or ROM/launcher combinations which allows you to do this?

Thanks

OK, thanks. That's what I had assumed, but just wanted confirmation. I've used XJ's MIUI which is cool, but it still has Chinese characters for app names in the 'Supermarket', hence my comment about the interpretation!

The good thing about rooting is the amount of choice you get. The bad thing is you get too many choices....!

Supermarket isn't meant for us though - it's because China can't access the Android Market (or buy apps, or something) - don't use it, and for gawds sake don't upgrade anything via it - you will most likely end up with the app in chinese! :D

If you're s-off, just can just delete supermarket.apk and appshare.apk from system/app and use the rest of the rom normally without learning a new language!
