Hello everyone, I have built CM7 for our A70 from CyanogenMod sources after lots of changes in the device tree

Test round #2 will begin today probably, the build is around 80mb
I won't be flooding this post with features so as to maintain the cleanliness of it :)

Usually the first build doesn't boot and you might get stuck on the logo, that won't be a problem.

Just get a copy of Android-SDK which is around 358mb from here Android SDK | Android Developers and install it as you may need to run a logcat using that

After the Android-SDK installation, go to your installation dir might be C:/Program Files/Android and shift to the tools folder in it and execute the ddms.bat file in it by double clicking.

Next connect your device using USB and see if the device shows up (Remember, do this as soon as you reboot from recovery so as to collect most of the log)

If your device shows up on it then click on it and In Device tab on the top right, click on Run logcat option.

Before reporting that the device doesn't show on the list first confirm whether it shows on froyo.

The flashing instructions are bit different here

    1. Factory reset
    2. Format system-->In mounts and storage
    3. Format cache
    4. Format data
    5. Install the cm7 zip

Weird, have you enabled usb debugging?
If that doesn't work, maybe you have to move to win 7

Why are you passing the -d argument?
    Just simply do adb devices

Ok this on boot right? I mean the logcat starts as soon as A70 comes on logo right?

To access ddms so as to get logcat

Second question is that, can we flash this zip using cwm (v4.0.1.5 on which currently a70 works) ?

    thanks buddy!
I'm flashing it using cwm then. (can't really wait to download 350mb android sdk app to test it)

btw, it would be great if you could post some screenies of the rom?

Does ddms detect it when on logo?
Did you try executing logcat? Does it get executed?

    No screenies dude.
This is ROM built from source and is not favourable for daily use as its in very early stage and is going to take lots of time to debug as not many testers/dev are here to test or report faster.
