Hi, my main question is about rooting I think. Please let me know if I should post my other questions elsewhere. I bought an S7 refurbished by Asurion and it should arrive this week. I hope to root before I activate it, but should I wait? I've never rooted before. Anything I should know about S7 rooting?

I passed on the Assurant insurance offered by Ebay after reading bad things here: https://www.consumeraffairs.com/insurance/assurant-phone-insurance.html

Thanks for looking, any help appreciated!

Yes, it voids the Samsung warranty.

Buying insurance from Ebay vendors sounds like could be a scam. Suggest you check with your own household insurance policy, phones might be included, or can be added.

Thanks Mike, do Asurion refurbished Samsung phones still have a warranty under Samsung? As for insurance, my best friend also advised me to consult our family's home owner's insurance about it so I will do that.
