Hey guys, I just got my x10 and tried the one click z4root which seems to have gone really wrong! At first, it was just stuck at the running exploit to gain root access part, but I removed the battery, and ran the app again, and it seemed to work. After that, phone went incredibly slow and sometimes froze randomly. Any idea what's going on, and how can I check if I've rooted successfully, and if not, how can I root safely? This method was supposed to be 100% safe.

Do you have the multitouch update? If so, you should use SuperOneClick to root the phone.

If you want to check if you have successfully rooted, just install an app that requires a rooted phone. You can try Titanium. You should also have an app called SuperUser on the phone if it's been rooted.

If you experience more problems, repair the phone with SEUS / PC Companion (backup your data/contacts first!!!) and give it another shot. Everything that is on the SD card does not have to be backed up.
