    So dose rooting your phone mean the smae thing as jailbreaking an iphone? When you root a droid do you nolonger have to pay for apps and what knot? thanks for the replys.

    Rooting is the same as Jailbreaking for the most part BUT you dont have to Root to get apps for free( not saying you should get apps for free) google search is your friend when it comes to things like that.

    But if download an app and like it the you should pay for it. help the devs

    Getting free, paid apps is not legal.
    Rooting allows for overclocking, managing files better, and basically more freedom overall as well as allowing you to theme the phone and install advanced ROMs (for better functionality and speed)

    i know wats legal an not i was just asking a question i no when you jailbreak an iphone you get free apps and wat not soo thats y i was asking i dont want to root my phone i just wanted to know wat it really aloud you to do
