Hey guys sorry if this is a stupid question but new to rooting I have a HTC Desire it was brought unlocked and unbranded and i want to root it but many tutorials are saying you need to find your original RUU just incase anything goes wrong or you want to return your phone
    my baseband is: 32.49.00.32U_5.11.05.27
and software number is: 2.29.405.5. I have looked on shipped roms and found this can you please tell me if it is the right one.

    PB99IMG_2.29.405.5_Radio_32.49.00.32U_5.11.05.27_release_159811_signed.zip

    Thanks to everyone who helps.

2.29.405.5 is the latest world wide English, unbranded one. So yea if that's what you came with, that file is fine.

Word of caution, forget the many guides and use ours in the sticky of the root forum as many miss crucial things. Also read the rooting faq in the same sticky.

Also any subsequent questions will get better viewing in the root forum ;)

FYI, that's a PB99IMG.zip. does the same as an RUU but runs from SD so incase you have sd problems in the future, best to get the RUU too
