Root not Working Help Please...

I have a G6 on T-Mobile USA's latest update - Latest as of 7/38/17 - It is temp unlocked until 8/27 and I tried using KangoRoot to root the device via the /apk and the PC app - Both instances failed - No reason, just "failed"

Any other proven tools to root my LG G6? And, when the device is "re-locked" by the carrier, I assume my root will remain?
