Root Root precaution

I want to root my (never rooted) DROID X running 2.3.3 (4.5.602) but i want to know beforehand if i screw up the root....brick it..... is there a way to restore it?

I have yet to see 100% bricked phone from rooting. It's safe and people here are really cool about helping. Read as much as you can in the sticky section on rooting. .602 can now be rooted with your computer very easy.

CONFIRMED ROOT in one click on (official) fully stock .602 with 13p

Ok, thanks. I am going to wait until this weekend when I actually activate the phone w/ verizon, I don't know if they will activate a rooted phone, probably will but still gonna wait.

You activate over the air, no need to go in. And yes, you can activate dial *228 choose option 1, a rooted phone.
