I'm trying to gain root (I have 2.2 now), but am having problems with the unrevoked3 reflash. Every time I try, I get the message "Failed to flash recovery image" (See). I have successfully (I think...) installed the drivers needed for this, as my device manager says "Android Bootloader Interface" (See). When I run the reflash, my Incredible restarts into hboot, restarts again, the initial HTC Incredible boot screen shows up, and that's when I get the message on my computer. My phone proceeds to boot normally. Any ideas about what's going wrong? Thanks

Alright I just found my problem... unrevoked doesn't work with 2.2.

SO...... is there a way to go back to 2.1 and root from there?

Ok I looked at that page and felt a bit confused. Links didn't work and parts just didn't make sense. Does anybody have an idea how long it'll take unrevoked to get a version that works with 2.2?

i dont think anyone has an exact time estimate, but i do remember reading that the 2.2 update didn't patch the exploit that unrevoked uses. so hopefully it should be real soon.
