O but I thought if I was rooted I could install the unofficial version. I rooted with the one click method that they say has no unroot. I'm scared to brick the phone.

I flashed my rooted 2.1 phone with the leaked 2.2 using Odin. I forgot to unroot before I did it, but I didn't have any problems. I did do a factory reset afterwords to make sure everything was fresh, and then added stuff back.

I used Superoneclick to root 2.2.

I read the caveats from Samsung about updating to Froyo 2.2 on a rooted phone. They said there may be problems and to back-up all files. I did the update, and no problems. I have over 200+ apps on my phone. Of course after update, the phone needs to be re-rooted:p

Why stop with 2.2? Load one of the custom ROMs using 2.2.1 like Serendipity or Paragon. :D

My phone was rooted when I upgraded to the official from AT&T. It was JUST rooted no other ROM was installed. I reset the phone then just used Mini Kies and it all went fine. After my install I rooted again using SuperOneClick ver. 1.7 and enabled loading of non-market apps. Worked perfect.

How do you actually go about enabling non-market apps on the phone once you've rooted. I just side-load with the SWM, but is there a way to tell the phone to do this after rooting?
