Root Rooted GingerBlur - Exchange Sync not working *FIXED - Kinda*

hey folks... i'm on the rooted gingerblur and tried to add my corporate email today, had a lot of issues. Could not get it connected.

anybody else experiencing this issue? any fixes out there?

Yep, couple of us. There is a thread here about it somewhere.

No fix that I am aware of, went back to Apex.

okay, i've been tinkering with this ALL day... finally got it to work. (somewhat). Here are all the steps I did, in all their gory detail!

- Turned off Wi-Fi, went to 3G, then tried adding account
- Filled out details, then clicked next... progress bar stopped at about 25% and hung
- Battery pulled
- Turned on, account there, but still connection error, but I could now get into more settings
- Went and added Server info, no joy
- Turned off check for Contacts, tried again, looks like it synced, but again, there was an error
- Went back to settings, turned verify certificate off, progress bar stuck again
- Battery pulled again
- Went back, turned verify certificate on, tried again... this time, progress bar moved, but very slowly
- Progress bar was REALLY slow, and it took about 20minutes, but somehow, it worked... i started getting emails

Don't what part of this worked, but here it is. Good luck, hope it helps someone. Don't have Contacts, but then again, that never worked for me on Froyo anyway, so I'm ok with that.

further update - looks like email only syncs over data, not wifi
