I just rooted my HTC ChaCha using HTVdev's Unlock BootLoader, and it all went successfully... But now when I install root apps, they still tell me that the phone is not yet rooted...?

    Kindly help. Thanks.

Because you didn't root it, you just went through some steps that are (probably) supposed to root it.

Is su in either /system/bin or /system/xbin?

Do you have a Superuser or SuperSU app (or something with a similar name)?
