Rooting your phone shouldn't alter the market, sometimes i have to have my wifi off for the market to work.

if anything root would fix the issue, not cause it.

I have problems after installing themes with getting force closes sometimes if I don't clear the caches in recovery first. I suspect that may be your problem. You generally install themes much like you install roms. Try to be careful to make sure the theme you are installing is supposed to be compatible with the rom over which you are installing and, as previously mentioned, do a cache clear when you install. Actually, a dalvik cache wipe from time to time will probably not hurt anything either, though it may make your phone run a little slower for a bit.

If you factory reset a rooted phone, you may not have bricked it but you most likely caused yourself more problems. Can you get into custom (clockwork) recovery?

I'm sorry I should have went ahead and asked the next question and told you what to do if the answer was affirmative. Have you made any backup with recovery? You will sometime here it called a "nandroid backup." If you have, you should be able to do a nandroid restore of a previous backup with your custom recovery and get the phone booting again. If you can't, you are going to need to put a good rom on the root of your sdcard and install it from recovery. It may be you already have one on your sdcard, I don't know. Let me know where you with this scenario.

If you tried installing a theme over the top of a rooted but otherwise stock phone, that is where the problem started. You might want to take a look at this thread:

Ok, then you are going to need to put a rom on your sdcard and install it with recovery. Did you want to be pretty much stock or go with something more customized?

You wiped your sdcard? why? No matter.

First let's get you a rom downloaded and put on the sdcard. Download it with your PC and take the sdcard from the phone and connect it directly to your PC and then copy the rom file to it. But we have to pick one first. See my previous post.

Why? Didn't you get a little adapter with your phone for your sdcard to plug it into a USB port?

Are you able to access your sdcard with you PC when you have the phone plugged into your PC and the sdcard installed in the phone?

Ok, cool. Now I have to decide what ROM to suggest for you.

Download this and put it on your sdcard with your PC:

    Redemptive 1.7.1

Ok, you can do new guy but from what I just read right quick, you have to apply the theme stuff to it with metamorph which is a program from the market. I will help you just get the basic rom installed and then you can go from there with instructions from the New Guy thread.

Once you get the rom on the card you can then put it back in your phone.

    Boot into recovery.

Do the clear data and cache options, then go into advanced and clear the dalvick cache.

Then, using the recovery menus, choose your rom file and then select the install file from sdcard option and it should install the rom.

Then you can reboot and see if it comes up. Be patient..it will take awhile.
