So I'm kinda freaking out here...I thought I followed all the steps carefully but something somewhere went wrong. Here's what I did:

Downloaded Unrevoked3 and ran it on the phone, worked just fine.
Downloaded Rom Manager and downloaded cyanogen mod 7 (stable version)
Chose create backup and delete cache

The system rebooted and I now get the Cyanogen mod 7 boot screen and it just loops forever.

When I reboot holding Volume down, I can choose the recovery boot option, but when I go to the Backup/Restore menu, there's nothing to restore! I've been searching all kinds of posts and can't figure out what to do, someone please help!

Am I totally screwed here? And thanks in advance!

Don't panic. Unless the phone no longer starts up there are ways to push a ROM from ABD shell on your computer and at least get it back to stock. Someone with more ABD experience will have to tell you how.

    Try this first.

    Let me make this simpler.
    1. Delete data and cache 3x from Clockwork recovery.
    2. Click on "install zip" and then "install zip from SD".
    3. Find the Cyanogen zip file and select it. Should be in SD Card >Clockwork> Download
    4. Wait until installed and reboot.

    The easiest thing is to
pull battery and boot into recovery
mount your phone using USB to your pc under "Mounts and Storage"
Copy over a ROM over to your sdcard
    clear data and cache
    and install the .zip ROM
    reboot :)

Hmm ok...My PC can't find the drivers when I connect it via USB, so I went to HTC's website and Im downloading the only thing they have there (Says HTC Sync but I'm assuming the drivers are in there?). Once I do that do you have a link to the ROM I should use and download to my PC?

    Thanks again!

After you selected mount USB storage in recovery. Your computer should have already have the storage drivers. Is there no extra drives in your My Computer?

I found it in the SD Card and reinstalled from there...remind me never to use Rom Manager again!

If you stored your contacts on your Google account your contacts will come back. But your messages can't be restored. Always backup before you flash any ROM.

ROM Manager isn't that bad. I use it to install kernels. Since you were going from 2.2 to 2.3 you always need to delete data/cache which it seems like you didn't. Easy learning mistake.
