Im wondering what I can do with my newly rooted DROIDX. Im not ready for a new rom yet, cuz im a newb. I don't know enough to overclock. What else? I have TI backup, and shoot me... what can a newb do? Oh, and I changed my bootanimation... stuff like that is what I want...

Read into making backups and SBF for now, i was scared at first and almost screwed up my phone. But finding a rom i liked is the main reason i rooted in first place.

I also suggest you make a backup in CWR and try a theme to begin with, then try switching to a Rom or something like that.

Roms usually do more than just switch launchers.

back up your current launcher config
flash a rom, install your launcher
set it as default when you hit your home button
    and restore the configuration

also generally roms can run smoother and snappier if your phone wants to cooperate

Depending on what you use, Liberty on my phone made my phone faster, Apex gave me great battery life. But if your completely happy with your phone i wouldn't worry about it

I just install it manually, I've never really like Rom Manager.

That's another option if you don't have Rom Manager.

Download the nightly from the link in the first post and install it through CWR.

    Edit:
The first post in the main CM4DX thread.

You need to be in 2.3.340 to install CM7.

You can find the link on how to install on the first post of the main thread too.
