Root Rooted x vrs Bionic

Was at the verizon store today both phone wifi off, 3g radios on and did a speed test, both phone same server x gets 1400 down bionic gets 2450 down both phone were started at the same time what's up with that. By the way the x is rooted with with the current 602apex.

The Bionic is a 4G LTE phone so of course it will get faster download speeds.

Not any where near a 4g city and I had 4g turn off 3g and cdma only. I'm wondering if they are limiting download speed on my phone I use less then 2gigs a month.

How many times did you run the test? Because results can vary greatly from time to time.

Proly a dozen times using a few diff servers all but one time 1000kbs diff the other was around 800kbs faster then my x. I wonder if Verizon lets the phones in stores run faster to get you to take the bait then turn down volume after its out the door.

Could have better 3G radio or just a better baseband update. I did speed tests with my old DX and my new D3 (which shares many of the same hardware and updated software with the bionic) and I too got faster values with the D3. And this was at home.

I was skeptical to get a bionic but im glad I did stock its way faster than my dx and I had all the bells and whistles in mine and my wifes I tested my dx running cm4dx and tested it running .602 amd on my wifes dx running apex rc2 both are left n the dust by the bionic its so much more responsive

The bionic has s sim card....that alone allows it to be a minimum of 30% faster on up/download speeds....has nothing to do with throttling ...you will never see 2600 kb/sec on an x on 3g....

I was just checking out the Bionic and to be perfectly honest, I don't see much of a difference between the Bionic and the X2. The only thing I see that the Bionic has that the X2 doesn't have is the LTE 4G and is a different size and shape.

x2 - 512 mb, 2 gb internal memory, 720p

the differences between the 2 phones are vast. bionic is by far better.

i doubt that, every single display model i have played with has been garbage, other users come in and play with it, and install all these bogus apps that do not need to be on there and it slows it down, you also need to remember the bionic is newer, dual core, newer radio(which means better strength and reception) if the dionic didnt out perform my X i would be highly upset with moto build quality after that.

If this is true then all the video reviews I watched were wrong cause they all said the Bionic had 512 megs of ram and 720p recording. I'm not making this up. Go check out the reviews on youtube.

EDIT: O'k, I found what happened. Aperantly they released a different version of the bionic some months back with nearly the same specs as the droid x2. That phone dissapeared. Most likely didn't live up to expectations and it was dropped for this newley redesigned bionic.
