Hi all,

Please forgive me but I've spent the whole weekend unsuccessfully trying to install on my 32-bit XP SP3 system the drivers for an Evo 4G (Sprint; s-off; rooted; "revolutionary-0.4pre4" custom recovery image; usb debuggin mode on) to run in Diag Mode. After dialing "##3424#", I connect via usb the Evo to my system and the add new hardware wizard pops up. However, none of the 5 or 6 32-bit HTC diag drivers I've found using google work. After specifying the location of the drivers, the wizard always comes back stating that the proper drivers couldn't be found. I've even cancelled the wizard and have tried installing via Device Manager but no luck.

This is especially strange b/c I successfully installed them on Friday and even saw the Evo in Device Manager under Modems; it was assigned COM4. But the very next morning through this moment, I've experienced the above.

Also, in trying to resolve the issue, I installed HTC Sync from the HTC website but the issue remains regardless of whether it's installed or not; I've uninstalled it except for the drivers.

Someone please help.

Hi Frenchy,

I'm trying to flash the Evo to Boost. I've been able to complete the steps necessary on the donor phone (Incognito). Now, I'm trying to carry out the steps on the Evo which includes using CDMA Workshop, QPST and QXDM Pro.

I'm not familiar w/ flashing Evo's to Boost to be honest. Have you checked this thread out?

You'll more than likely get the help you need if you post your questions there. Hope this helps.
