If there is a custom recovery for this model and you can unlock the bootloader then there is no need for junk like KingRoot. The question is whether the "fastboot oem unlock" command works (and if not, whether there is a setting to enable oem unlocking, e.g. in the developer options).

If that works and there is a custom recovery then you can just flash a superuser package. If there is no custom recovery I'm not sure I'd want to root anyway.
