I have FROYO official and I want to "root access" it. From what I know, you must update it to 2.1 (ECLAIR) official before you can use MALEZ recovery, is ths still the case? is there a recovery that I can use so I dont have to update back to 2.1?
Reason is I want to remove some of the tones and the apps that I do not use. Will that give a faster phone or will it be the same? will that free some memory? Thanks very much.
