Root ??? Rooting N1 using windows7 32 bit sys.

want to unlock and root my N1 but have tried to using windows7 32bit... went threw lots of forums and videos, downloaded sdk for windows, and epe54b N1 superboot, but when i go to cmd to see if the phone is there it dosent show the serial number so tried to install new drivers for windows7 but cant get the web site open says it is down and to try back later... So at this point i dont know what else to try any help or pointers would be appreciated...

I use windows also but i can't remember where i found the drivers.If you to my website and click download link i put the driver zip file there.
