When I first bought my phone the one thing I wanted rid of more than anything was vice talk. Back in the gingerbread days there was no way to disable it except by rooting. I have Jellybean 4.12 now so Voice Talk has been silenced. Anyway I have, over the last year, attempted to use Odin, one click, and z4root. Odin always claimed success, even if the phone is not plugged in to the PC. I given up on that after downloading the same file over and over (just renamed to look like a later version). I have not tried again. The last I tried was z4root 1.3. It just hangs. I have tried to locate z4root 3.0, but it is no place to be found. Every site ha claims to have it is a farce. The file size and md5 are exactly the same as Version 1.3 (only the file is renamed). Have you a link to the real z4root 3.0 that is legit? Anyway, I have installed several root checkers. Some say I have root, others say I do not. Either way, I still cannot remove unwanted system apps because the removal tools say I do not have root.
