I just bought the Nexus One unlocked for AT&T and really like it. 1 wierd thing is that when I rotate the phone counter clockwise, the screen goes to landscape just fine; but when I rotate it clockwise it does not go to landscape "the other way". And, if I'm holding the phone 'normally' and rotate it 180 degrees ('upside down') it doesn't follow.

My youngest daughter delights in telling me that her iPhone does this with no problem. What's up with that?

I think you would get a better reply if you posted this in the Nexus One section

I could be wrong, but I believe all HTC phones act this way. The Droid Eris only goes to landscape one way.

He has a valid question though. I noticed this with my phone too. My Omnia would switch sides no matter which way I tuned it, even upside down - depending on the ROM. Why doesn't ours?

The current ROM I'm using allows you to choose: no rotation, normal (only left) rotation, 270 (left and right) rotation or 360 rotation.

Rotations are quick, but I have it set to off, since I actually find it annoying.

    Nice to show off though....

It doesn't do it because the OS isn't designed to.

Could have sworn I had already posted in this thread, but install FRF91, it supports rotation both ways.
