So i had my Bionic on 5.5.893 and wanted to test out .901 so I Fastboot flashed back to stock 893 then updated using a 901 zip through stock recovery. Everything was ok till I realized that my root didn't stay so I tried using a zip file in RSD lite to go back to 893 but the flash failed. I then tried using a fzx or whatever file to go back to 866.

Long story short, my screen now says:

AP Fastboot Flash Mode (S) (Flash Failure)
    0A.61

When I had the phone on the last time it seemed that the radio is just MIA and won't connect to anything at all.

I'm back on my Droid X and have ZERO idea how to proceed. I figured this was all just like flashing SBFs on the X but no go. Someone tell me wtf to do!!!

It's actually pretty simple - I'm working on a fool proof method for Windows Users, but for now, you probably just need to flash the CDT.bin from the 901 file.

To make things simple, first tell me - what is the exact error - below that top line, does it say something like this?

    CDT Failure

if not, then it's a *small* bit more complicated - you need to flash a file and then the CDT.bin.

See this post for more info: [FIX] Bionic (Boot Failure) & (CDT Failure) - RootzWiki

BTW, if it does say CDT failure, then you can pick just the 3rd file, and proceed directly to step 6

    Locked out of RootzWiki? Seriously?

OK, here it the info from that post along with the links:

All credit to darkstarsinner - Viewing Profile - RootzWiki for writing this at [FIX] Bionic (Boot Failure) & (CDT Failure) - RootzWiki

He has 2 step fives - this is the way he wrote it - at the first step five you pick either both files or just the 893 file, depending upon if you want to go to 893 or 901. After that, you use the second step 5 to flash the 893 file and go to step 6 if you want 893 only, or flash 893 (then reboot, on my recommendation), and then reboot back into stock recovery and flash the 901 file, then go to step 6

Thanks John, I knew you would have the solution. I am unable to get a download link for these files, so I guess I will need to run to the library in the morning.
