    Hello [IMG],

I would like to run .jar files straight from my microSD, instead of 'installing' them on the phone (which consumes the only available tiny 63 MB of ROM left on my phone).

The problem is that the Java client (Java Wireless Client) that comes with the HTC smart,
lets you open .jar files from your microSD storage, but only provides an 'install' menu option.

There is no 'run jar without installing' or 'install to microSD and run from there' option. I would like such an option. Any ideas?

p.s.: I know my phone does not run Android but I was hoping if anyone could help.

    Thank you [IMG],

I didn't know android could run standalone .jar files.

Regardless, I've moved this to the Android Lounge where other users may be able to better assist.

I don't think so. I have yet to find a way to run java programs on the android.

  5. The HTC Smart doesn't run on Android;)

Its on HTC's own OS if I remember correctly (something called Brew?)

    *Facepalm*

Took two mods and one guide to realise it's not an Android phone... I suck.

Why the hell do non-android users keep coming in for help anyway. Which part of "AndroidForum" do they not understand?

I just figured this was ANOTHER new android phone.

Moved BACK to "Other Phones" then (where it belongs).
