Are you kidding me ? Not only can I see this screen outside in the sunlight, I can see it outside in the sunlight WITH MY SUNGLASSES ON :) :) :)

Coming from the Dinc I had a very hard time seeing that screen in the sunlight. How could I ever go back to any other kind of screen ?

This SF reminds me of when I first started dating my wife. Wasn't the greatest when I first met her, but the more I got to know her the more I couldn't get enough of her.......

    Yes the screen is awesome!

However, don't let your wife see that when I first met her comment! You may end up enjoying your pretty screen on the couch over night...lmaooo

This screen is built to be pure eye candy, the colors are super saturated, brightness is high and the contrast is high. I think its something you absolutely love at the beginning and it kind of fades away over time, much like most marriages haha.

Agreed....after about a week with the DX the screen really started to appear washed out. Incredible with amoled was nice but miniature. Luv my SF screen, so many haters out there!!! :p

i was checking out someones DX after having my SF for a few weeks. Couldn't believe how washed out and blah his screen looked. thats what makes it next to impossible for me to trade in my SF for anything else even despite mediocre call quality...

well that makes sense the droid x has a 4.3 inch screen and there are not sufficient quantities of amoled technology to make an amoled screen that big, 4inch is the sweet spot.

The SF has a more readable screen outside than the Inc. But the X is several stops better outside than the SF. I've held all three together and the X is much more readable in sunlight. Color rendition on the SF is the best.

I'm not hugely impressed with the screen. The colors look great, but it's sooo grainy when I'm on the browser. You have to zoom in so much to get rid of the pixelation.

I think the screen sucks when using it outside in the sun, doesn't matter if its not really sunny either.. Can't see much and have to pretend i'm a turtle and duck my head in my shirt, putting my phone underneath my shirt so i can maybe read whats on the screen.

its not that bad for me. i use it outside just fine as long as its not direct sunlight.

my incredible is completely unusable outside however.

It is much much better than the old AMOLED screens, those things would wash out in the sun and you couldnt make out anything at all.

I watched the movie Avatar on my Fascinate. And compared to my previous device which was the Droid X, I can say that my eyeballs are happy.

Wow. If its much better then the old screens they must have been piles of crap because the fascinate is pretty worthless when a hint of sun hits it. My crusty old palm treo 650 is usuable in direct sunlight and the fascinate because worthless when it catches the glare from my shiny forehead.

All the smart phones are like this now. Very difficult to see in the sunlight.

Normally I have brightness set to 0% which indoors is fine but outdoor and in direct sunlight yes even I need to crank it up and even then its moderate. Thankfully I spend less than 1% of my time reading my phone screen under the direct sun

True it is a beautiful screen and believe me I would have thrown this damn phone through the window 15 times by now if it wasnt for the screen... thankfully i have it rooted now and running 100 times better but still not as smooth as my original rooted droid ran but i HATED the slideout keyboard on the droid so that and the screen will keep me loving the SF!

Unless I'm out side if I hold my SF next to my X I think the X looks better.
That Blue-ish coloring that the amoled screens have make it look darker next to the X even with brightness turned up to 100%. By itself and outside though its a fine screen:cool:
