S2 Camera failure

[Android Question]

Samsung S2 from Spring - SPH-D710, Android version 4.1.2, software GB27, cannot use camera. Sprint will charge me $75 to bring phone in.

Just to bring it in? Or to fix it? If just to bring it in, I'd spend the money on a little pocket-sized camera (which will probably take better pictures than the phone does, anyway.)
