S2 tablet goes to sleep when in use

I have the Samsung keyboard case and when I'm not using the keyboard I often fold it back in book mode, and then the tablet randomly goes to sleep. I think it has to do with the magnetic case, but not sure. I've tried to take the keyboard out but it still goes to sleep. I don't want to ditch the keyboard necessarily, but would that fix the problem? Anyone else having this problem? It definitely seems worse after extended use.

Is there a magnet in the cover (near the button on the bottom)? I read that if the magnet is too strong, it can shut off the tablet when cover flap is flipped around. Taking delivery of a Fintie smart cover case from Amazon tomorrow. Will see what happens.

OK. just received my Fintrie smart cover case. There does appear to be some sort of magnet in the flap which will cover the button. When the button is covered, tablet turns off; when the button is uncovered, the tablet turns on. On my case, when I flip the flap to the back, it does not turn off the tablet. I have read that some cases, in particular those with keyboards have strong magnets which will do that. When I read the reviews and comments, some manufacturers offer to exchange case for one with a weaker magnet. I cannot recall which ones. You may try to contact your vendor or manufacturer.

That's what I was trying to avoid. I use the keyboard all the time so I don't want to give it up. It's the Samsung keyboard so I guess I will take a trip to see what they can do. Was hoping it was just a setting or something.

Tape a quarter to the back of your S2 just behind the button. I think any metal will block magnetic field.
