Hi - I'm new to these forums and was hoping someone could offer me some advice.

Recenty the only way I can get my S3 mini to work correctly is if its connected to a power source. The device has started to power itself off whilst using it and then it tries to reboot many times unsuccessfully. It seems like it is caught in a restarting loop.

A number of people have recommended I get a full software reset installed, I've used the Samsung Kies to update/reinstall the software but the issue still exists. I was wondering if I went down the route of flashing my fone would this resolve the issue? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
Hi and welcome to the forum.
Sorry about the late answer, but I don't get around these parts much.
Personally, I think that if the phone works fine when plugged in, then there is nothing wrong with your ROM, and that rooting and installing a different ROM would not fix the problem.
The first thing *I* would check is to see if a new battery would fix it.
If you know someone with the same phone, maybe you could borrow their battery for a few minutes just to see if your phone will boot properly. Otherwise try asking down at your local phone store.

Tested the battery using my sisters and it seemed to work so bought a battery from eBay and have been using the fone again for 3 days with no issues (fingers crossed!)
My advice to u would be to try testing a new battery before leaving the fine in with a specialist to mend
