My Galaxy S3/Verizon updated to the Android Version 4.3 this morning. Since then, my phone constantly scans for wifi even when it is connected to my home's secure network. This is draining my battery. How can I fix it? Thanks.

Settings/Wifi/Menu/Advanced. Uncheck the Allways allow scanning button.

It'll still scan when you're on the wifi page - the only reason to be there would be to look for a wifi signal. but it stops scanning when you close that page.

Thanks, I had that turned off. I thought because it was scanning every time I went to the wifi screen, it was constantly scanning. It didn't do that before the update.
