Help S4 with Panasonic Phone Bluetooth

Am I the only one who can't seem to get my s4 to pair with a panasonic kx-tg76xx home phone system with the phone-to-cell feature. The s4 recognizes the phone as a bluetooth device, but the message I get on the s4 is "connected to phone audio" and even though the s4 says "paired" after I go through the pairing process, the panasonic, never completes the pairing or accepts the phone.

I've done some exhaustive searching and can't even seem to find any links to people having similar problems, which makes me think I'm the dummy here, and nobody else is having this trouble.

Help!
