Hello and welcome to Android Forums Taiful Islam :)

Try wiping the cache partition as per #1.3 of S5 Lollipop Update Problems - Dummies Guide. Failing that, you may need to do a Factory Data Reset as per post #2 of the guide.

Actually my previous version was XSG from UAE(United Arab Emirates)
    PDA G900FXXU1ANCE
    CSC G900FOJV1ANCD
    Android 4.4.2
I wrongly updated it using ODIN 3.10 with CSC version is G900FOJV1POF1 and baseband version is G900FXXU1POEC....Lollipop 5.0 from SAMMOBILE
    and again Flashed it with
    PDA G900FXXU1ANCE
    CSC G900FOJV1ANCD
After flashing it automatically gets some updates through OTA, now it becomes
    AP G900FXXU1ANL1
    CP G900FXXU1ANG8
    CSC G900FOJV1ANL1
But my phone sensors still not working at all, proximity, accelerometer, barometer, gryo, megnatic, temp, only HRM and FPS work fine.....
I contacted with SAMMOBILE concern and he suggest me to do a complete re-partition with PIT file and reflash. I actually don't know how to do that and got to know it's very risky and difficult process.

Would you pls give me an easier solution if possible? If I flash the android again, does it change the PIT file?

    Thanks!

Well, all your downloads and flashings are correct for the United Arab Emirates, Product code XSG, model of the international Galaxy S5 with CSC code OJV.

I would suggest a fresh re-downloading of your Lollipop firmware...

    Model SM-G900F
    Model name GALAXY S5
    Country United Arab Emirates
    Version Android 5.0
    Changelist 4920419
    Build date Mon, 18 May 2015 06:32:47 +0000
    Product code XSG
    PDA G900FXXU1POEC
    CSC G900FOJV1POF1

Flash this using Odin 3.09. If, after doing the above, you encounter the sensor problem again, install, free from the Play Store, Vitamins for Samsung Mobile and run the diagnostic checks for your phone.

    Thanks....
I have tried with Vitamin for Samsung Mobile also...but not solved....
Previously when I had 4.4.2, RAM was 1.856GB, after updating to 5.0, RAM reduced to 1.66GB....and Built-in memory extremely reduced.....AnTuTu benchmark increase from 42500 to 45500...AnTuTu detects all my sensors...but in *#0*#, nothing works... :(

Does it make any difference using ODIN 3.9 and 3.10 for Samsung S5? and
What does this Changelist 4920419 mean?

Do not worry about RAM with Android. There is an old but true saying... "Unused RAM is wasted RAM"

To be expected. See #1.2 of post #1

Benchmark increase expected with ART. Does System Info for Android also detect your sensors? Are your sensors working in everyday use?

Personal preference for Odin 3.9. Have seen some issues with 3.10

Samsung do not publish actual changelogs for firmwares but just the changelist #.

'System Info for Android' detects all sensors...I think my sensors are physiclly ok...and it's a firmware problem...but don't know what to do...

Can you suggest me how to do re-partition with my actual firmware using ODIN? I mean the process of re-partition and it's risk...

    I agree

Simple... DON'T mess about with .PIT files, there should be no need and unless you know exactly what you are doing you can brick your phone.

Is this what happened to my Samsung Galaxy S6 when I had a software upgrade it was giving me a Lollipop upgrade and is that why I can no longer turn my shutter sound back on for my camera? Will there soon be a patch fix for this problem?

Did Android finally start messing with the radio software with the most recent software update? My S5 is currently acting as a radio transmitter with the old alarm clock/radio I have that is probably from the early 80's. All audio is playing through it as long as it is in between stations.

Quite possible depending on your model of phone, baseband and whether the old radio bands are now being used for telephony in your country/area.

This seems to be the only logical explication as my phone/radio has never done this. However I tried it later in my car but it didn't happen, so I am rather baffled at this point.

New discovery on the issue, the radio only picks up my phone audio when my phone is plugged into its charging cord which goes to an extension cord that shares the wall outlet with the radio. When I unplug my phone, the radio doesn't pick it up anymore.

I was having performance issues on my Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900W8. I made a back up on Kies, then reset factory settings, then restored the back up and it was all good except for the old whatsapp messages which were all lost. I had some important information on them so I needed the old messages.

I repeated the same process again but after the factory settings reset, and before the restore from Kies, I left the phone for some time so it downloaded the 6.0.1 update. I was about to sleep then I hit install update so by the morning it is ready for the restoration from Kies.

All backup files are still there but the problem is after this update, Kies is not able to restore most of information, including memos (*.nmm file of the regular memos application, not the Samsung notes) which are even much more important to me.

Plus checklist application with many to do list items that were saved on it.

plus indeed the whatsapp which is all lost. I am not sure yet what else was lost that I need to restore but I was just shocked to lose all the backup like this. only contacts restored with problems and messages. everything else is gone, like lock screen, desktop, settings, ...etc.

    HELP!!!!

Hello and welcome to Android Forums CC309!

Providing that you have the correct APN settings for your carrier, there is no reason you should not be able to send texts... as you can already receive them. My initial thought is that your carrier may be the issue as I have had this situation once before with one of the U.S. carriers. Try installing Textra SMS, free from the Play Store, and see if the issue persists.
