True... but I have a 2 year old Galaxy S5 that I've done that test on already... a few times! :D

It is different, because this new flagship's that Samsung made have the Gorilla Glass and they became more fragile, you know what I mean? The S5 don't have that "feature".

Errr... the Samsung Galaxy S2, Galaxy S3, Galaxy S4, Galaxy S5, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S7, ALL have Corning's Gorilla Glass!

I've watched different variations of drop test involving the iphone 6s and the results are completely different. This video isn't really conclusive enough for durability. Also, I don't think I will be in enough situations for my phone to drop from those distances. This just tells me to have a pretty decent case. Not significant enough for me to worry about.

Yes, you are completely right and when I saw this video my first thought was "in my daily routine I don't think I will drop the phone from 10 feets".

Don't get me wrong. Its good to see these kinds of videos but all I'm saying is that I'm not too concerned. I usually don't carry a naked phone around unless I'm at work at my desk or at home sitting or laying down. When I'm moving around I have a case but I don't really drop my phones much either and never have from those heights. 10 feet is ridiculous, but I guess there are people that are unlucky with that kind of stuff.

I am afraid that not, "everyone", would agree with that statement. Since the Galaxy S2, Corning's Gorilla Glass has improved, we are now on Gorilla Glass 4 I believe, and the new materials used in the manufacture of these later models and the testing that goes into them, has increased their durability.

Neither do I, my S6 Edge is always cover with some strong and protective case. Unfortunately the first case that I bought was the Samsung Clear Cover and I really made a mistake

How far back here are we going? Though I have to say, the iPhone 6 was the most fragile phone I'd ever had. It bent, on carpet, in an Otter Box. Dropped from about 3-4 feet. Blew my mind.

I dropped my new S6 Edge at the hospital the other day. No case, no screen protector. It fell from my bed when I was getting up to get dressed. It didn't even scratch the back it landed on. Even though it's full glass.

    The Dog Pound.
I have the iPhone 6+ in a simple clear $10 tpu case and dropped it many times with no problems. Last week it fell out of my top shirt pocked in the stone driveway and was fine. That was probably a 4' drop on loose stones.

Phones nowadays are larger, which means the display glass has to be thinner to keep weight down. Thinner glass will always be more fragile. Gorilla Glass (and similar) apply a surface treatment which hardens the glass and makes it more resistant to scratches but doesn't make it any more impact-resistant. Modern smartphones also have many more ICs and other sensitive electronics inside, all of which are vulnerable to shock damage.

Good to have phone insurance, which is why my phones are always naked - the way I like it.
