    Hi!

I have a rather weird problem with my S7.

During the call the microphone does not work. Neither in speakerphone nor in normal mode. On the other hand, I can test and prove that both microphones work: I record a video and blow into both microphones -- I hear a hiss corresponding to both (so rather not a hardware problem with microphones). Also in Skype, hangouts the microphone works just fine.
Moreover, during the call if I connect the headset then the speaker can hear me (so also not a network problem).

I have tried rebooting, factory reset. Nothing works.

Did anyone have a similar problem?

    Cheers

Yep! Exactly the same on mine. Skype is now in effect useless on my S7.

My issue is a little more complex still. If I receive an incoming call and I answer it, I cannot hear the caller but apparently they can hear me. If I make and outgoing call, I can hear the person called but they cannot hear me. It is clearly something that Microsoft have screwed up badly vis-à-vis the S7

This is a long shot, but worth a try.
Go to your phone app and tap on the 3 dots on the top right hand corner.
    Settings/More settings.
Make sure the Hearing aids slider is off.

Well, for me it ended up with giving the phone back to the Samsung Service point. I think they replaced the board where the microphone and some logic is located. They were quite surprised by the issue themselves. For me it remains as a mystery. It seemed to be a software issue, but not possible to be fixed otherwise than by replacing a piece of the phone.
