On the new Galaxy S7, go to play and video then Edit it, screen comes up with the buttons to... Trim, Effect, Audio and Video Editor. The Effect and Video Editor options are greyed out, not available.

Tried some options no luck, either come available.
Tried to manually find the Samsung 'Video Editor' app and seems is not included with the phone, so went to the Apps Store and downloaded it. It works but the buttons are still greyed out on the edit mode of a video.

    Any thoughts?

Also... Video Editor, didn't it have an option to change the resolution to reduce when you edit and save?

I was having the same issue and found out that if I put the video recording setting on FHD (instead of UHD or QHD), the effects and Video Editor are no longer grayed out. Of course that was after I installed the video editor app.
