Help samssung galaxy tab 2 camera settings cant open (gear)

Why can't I git into settings (the gear box ) on my camera app on my galaxy tab s2 it just opens and closes. Is that normal?586

Doesn't sound normal. Does it take pictures normally fine without going into settings? Could try clearing cache Settings>apps>all>camera>clear cache
