Root Samsung Epic 4g one click root

Hey guys, I am a super super noob to android but i just bought a samsung epic.
I read that you could do a one click root on a mac so i tried it because im too scared to do it the hard way (i know P***y). When i try to do it the phone reboots and when i press the home button it says Signature Verification Failed!
Any ideas what i may be doing wrong?

PS. it is in debugging mode and i tried mounting and unmounting the sd card.
