Help Samsung galaxy player

In the recently released commercial they show the the gps being used in the car and off of WiFi. Does anyone know if you are able to use the gps off of wifi? If you could that would be really awesome and a big plus against the ipod touch. Thanks

billatron, do you mean can you use it without WIFI? if so the answer is yes. Wouldnt be much point really otherwise.

I think he's actually asking if you can use GPS via wifi, i.e. can you use gps off the wifi connection?
