Samsung Galaxy S 2 Epic 4g Touch question

I have the Samsung Galaxy S 2 Epic 4g Touch from spint. Ive had no real problems until tonight when i went to plug in my charger (same charger i always use, wall charger.not plugged in to a computer) and in my notifications its saying "USB connected, MTP -Connected" ...this has never happened before nd ive tried everything to figure out why this is happening...i work and radio shack and im great with phones but this one is stumping me
